Your Blind Faith – Daily Devo

John 11:9-10 Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours of daylight? Anyone who walks in the daytime will not stumble, for they see by this world’s light. It is when a person walks at night that they stumble, for they have no light.”

It is because of You that I am able to move past my transgressions. Lord, be the light unto my path, so that I may not stumble.

John 9:1-3 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.

Lord, use my blindness to display Your works through me. Help others to see You in the vision You have given me.

2 Corinthians 9:2 For I know your eagerness to help, and I have been boasting about it to the Macedonians, telling them that since last year you in Achaia were ready to give; and your enthusiasm has stirred most of them to action.

Spiritual enthusiasm is contagious and a motivator for other people’s obedience. May I influence others in this way.

John 8:7-11 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” “No one, sir,” she said.“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

Lord, when fellow Christians sin, enable me to be there to help lift them up, rather than to “stone” them and leave them without support from a fellow sinner saved by grace.

John 7:12-13 Among the crowds there was widespread whispering about him. Some said, “He is a good man.”Others replied, “No, he deceives the people.” But no one would say anything publicly about him for fear of the leaders.

Lord, give me strong faith so that I may support and praise You in all circumstances, rather than bow to human leaders who stand against You. All praise be to You, Father.
