Acts 5:3 Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?

If we let him enter our heart, Satan will cause us to turn against God. May the Lord protect us from the Evil One and keep us strong.

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.

Satan attacks our minds. May I not fall prey to his deceptions!

Father, may I speak about You and Your Word with boldness when the world and its leaders stand against You.

Acts 3:12 When Peter saw this, he said to them: “Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?

Why am I surprised when God performs miracles by working in my life and the lives of others? Father, make my faith so strong that I am never surprised at Your works.

2 Corinthians 10:13 We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the sphere of service God himself has assigned to us, a sphere that also includes you.

God assigns “spheres of service.” May I be faithful where He has placed me.

Lord, we dont know who Theophilus was, but we know that Your Word was directed to him so that he could believe and have “certainty regarding the things he had been taught.” May the things You have done in my life shine to many today just as Your works shine through Your Word today in letters written to Theophilus. Amen.
