Daily Devo – Blind Devotion

Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.
Revelation 2:10//

Suffering is inevitable, but fear is not a fruit of the Spirit.

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
Revelation 1:3 – https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Revelation%201:3&version=NIV

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.
Revelation 1:3//

Each day, the time draws even closer. Lord Jesus, come soon!!!

But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold. They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.
Jude 1:17-19//

This is evident in the church today. Lord, please grant me wisdom and discernment, so that I may know who has the Spirit.

Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.
3 John 1:11//

It is no coincidence that the previous verses to this passage give us an example of an evil man and the verses after this give us an example of a good man. This verse is not passive aggressive. It is simply stating a clear fact.

I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will not welcome us. So when I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, spreading malicious nonsense about us. Not satisfied with that, he even refuses to welcome other believers. He also stops those who want to do so and puts them out of the church.
3 John 1:9-10//

The church is not immune to selfishness, gossip, and evil.

I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.
2 John 1:7//

There are multiple people in this world who are against Christ and deceive many. Lord, grant us wisdom to know who they are so that we may avoid their teaching.

If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that. All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.
1 John 5:16-17//

Not all sin is equal.

Daily Devo – Blind Devotion

This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
1 John 4:2-3//

There is a prescribed test to determine if something is from God or not.
