Acts 6:9-10 Opposition arose, however, from members of the Synagogue of the Freedmen as it was called—Jews of Cyrene and Alexandria as well as the provinces of Cilicia and Asia—who began to argue with Stephen. But they could not stand up against the wisdom the Spirit gave him as he spoke.
God’s Word is more powerful than any human argument. Lord, may You use me as Your servant to speak to others. Give me wisdom as I interact with others.
2 Corinthians 11:4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.
Grace and gospel can so easily be twisted and altered that even believers can have a distorted view of God’s truth. Lord, may I maintain a correct biblical perspective.
Acts 5:3 Then Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land?
If we let him enter our heart, Satan will cause us to turn against God. May the Lord protect us from the Evil One and keep us strong.
2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ.
Satan attacks our minds. May I not fall prey to his deceptions!
Acts 4:18-19 Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges!
Father, may I speak about You and Your Word with boldness when the world and its leaders stand against You.
2 Corinthians 10:15
Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand.
Father, expand my sphere of ministry according to Your plan and Your timing.
Acts 3:12 When Peter saw this, he said to them: “Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?
Why am I surprised when God performs miracles by working in my life and the lives of others? Father, make my faith so strong that I am never surprised at Your works.
2 Corinthians 10:13 We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the sphere of service God himself has assigned to us, a sphere that also includes you.
God assigns “spheres of service.” May I be faithful where He has placed me.
Acts 2:12 Amazed and perplexed, they asked one another, “What does this mean?”
The Holy Spirit continues to “amaze and perplex” us to this day. Lord, may I never think that Your power is limited.

Forgive me Lord for making judgments thinking that I know the whole story. May I entrust people into Your hands for You are the Judge, not me nor anyone else.
