Luke 16:11 So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?
Wise money management will affect my ministry to others. 

Luke 16:10 “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
Faithfulness begins with the little stuff. 

1 Kings 13:34 This was the sin of the house of Jeroboam that led to its downfall and to its destruction from the face of the earth. 
My sins don’t only affect me, they can affect all of my descendants.

1 Kings 12:13 The king answered the people harshly. Rejecting the advice given him by the elders, 
Lord, may I listen to wise elders and heed their advice.

1 Kings 11:2-4 They were from nations about which the Lord had told the Israelites, “You must not intermarry with them, because they will surely turn your hearts after their gods.” Nevertheless, Solomon held fast to them in love. He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray. As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been.

When we love things that God forbids, they will lead us astray, break our relationship from God, and ultimately, be part of our downfall if we do not repent.

Luke 15:31 ‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.’
Sonship has wonderful privileges. May I never take them for granted. 

Luke 15:28 The older brother became angry and refused to go in.
Older brothers don’t forgive, stay mad, and refuse to reconcile/restore. May I not be an “older brother.”

1 Kings 10:8 How happy your people must be! How happy your officials, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom! 
Wisdom from the Lord will make those around me happy. Lord, give me great wisdom.

1 Kings 9:4 “As for you, if you walk before me faithfully with integrity of heart and uprightness, as David your father did, and do all I command and observe my decrees and laws, 
Interestingly, after David slept with the wife of one of his friends and sent him off to be slaughtered in war, God still says he has integrity and an upright heart. Such is the power of forgiveness when we repent and walk in His ways.

Luke 15:22 But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him.’
Notice the first word: “Quick.” We should be speedy, not reluctant, in reaching out to those who confess and repent.
