Daily Devo – Blind Devotion

1 Kings 16:13 because of all the sins Baasha and his son Elah had committed and had caused Israel to commit, so that they aroused the anger of the Lord, the God of Israel, by their worthless idols.
Our sinful actions can cause others around us to do evil things. Father, may I be a beacon of light and not bring darkness on others.

Daily Devo – Blind Devotion

1 Kings 15:3-4 He committed all the sins his father had done before him; his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his forefather had been. Nevertheless, for David’s sake the Lord his God gave him a lamp in Jerusalem by raising up a son to succeed him and by making Jerusalem strong.
Even if my children do evil in the eye of the Lord, He will keep His promises to me.

Daily Devo – Blind Devotion

1 Kings 11:2-4 They were from nations about which the Lord had told the Israelites, “You must not intermarry with them, because they will surely turn your hearts after their gods.” Nevertheless, Solomon held fast to them in love. He had seven hundred wives of royal birth and three hundred concubines, and his wives led him astray. As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been.

When we love things that God forbids, they will lead us astray, break our relationship from God, and ultimately, be part of our downfall if we do not repent.
