Luke 10:41-42 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Lord, help me to listen at your feet, rather than to worry about potential disaster and the actions of others.

Luke 9:61-62 Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say goodbye to my family.” Jesus replied, “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”

“But first…” Do I try to tell God I have other things to do before I do the work He asks me to do? Lord, help me to be obedient.

Luke 8:38-39 The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.

Missions work is more than global, it is local. May I proclaim to those in my home town what Jesus has done for me!
