Homes and others within a household have a special curse for those who do evil to people who have only done them good.

Isaiah 13:19 Babylon, the jewel of kingdoms, the pride and glory of the Babylonians, will be overthrown by God like Sodom and Gomorrah.//

World “powers” are nothing compared to the Lord’s strength.

All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord.

There will be times I convince myself (through rationalization or otherwise) that my actions are righteous when they are actually impure. In any circumstance the Lord knows the truth, and I need to follow His Word, instead of my feelings.

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil.

I need to take time to think about my answers and ensure they are gentle, even if being asked by a fool or asked a stupid question.

Isaiah 13:13 Therefore I will make the heavens tremble; and the earth will shake from its place at the wrath of the Lord Almighty, in the day of his burning anger.//

Those who believe that God is a weak, insipid, or imaginary Being are in for a surprise.

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.
Proverbs 14:34//

In order for my country to become a strong nation under God, righteousness must start in the hone. Lord, help me to lead a righteous life and set the example for my children, so that they may follow Your example all of the days of their lives.

A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children, but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.
Proverbs 13:22//

Lord, grant me wisdom and Your favor to ensure my children and children’s children receive an inheritance. Help me to educate them in how to use money Your ways, so that my descendants honor You with their hearts and their finances for many, many generations.

Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult.
Proverbs 12:16//

I need to react with grace and think more lovingly when people insult me or wrong me.
