Daily Devo – Blind Devotion

Jesus looked directly at them and asked, “Then what is the meaning of that which is written: “‘The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone’?
Luke 20:17//

This is one of only two times we see Jesus looking directly at someone. Is it any coincidence that the other time is when Peter had denied Him? Our spirit feels the conviction of Jesus looking “directly” at us when we deny or reject our Savior.

Daily Devo – Blind Devotion

31 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’” Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?” They replied, “The Lord needs it.”
Luke 19:31-34//

Jesus knows my questions even before I ask them. He also provides before I know what I will need.

Daily Devo – Blind Devotion

26 “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. 27 People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
Luke 17:26-30//

Lord, help me to be ready on that day when You return.

28 “Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? 29 For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, 30 saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
Luke 14:28-30//

Wisdom includes calculating before committing. Foolishness is committing without thinking.

Daily Devo – Blind Devotion

24 “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.
Luke 13:24//

Lord, I believe You gave Your Son to die on the cross for my sins because I am a wretched sinner. I ask You into my heart and life to cleanse me and forgive me of my sins, so that I may live with You for eternity. Please help me make every effort to enter the narrow door, and help others to enter it as well. Lord, use me to help them find You and enter it before the door is shut. I ask all this in Jesus’ name, amen.
