Philippians 1:27a Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.

In all circumstances, my behavior should reflect Christ. Lord, help me to stay true in the midst of anger and hurt from others.

Luke 4:9 The devil led Him to Jerusalem and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down from here.”

The devil will lead us to dangerous places and tempt us to destroy our lives. 

Ephesians 6:16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 

Oh Lord, give me extraordinary faith so that I may have a shield against the evil one. Bind the enemy and keep me strong in Your Word. Amen.

Luke 4:8 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’ ”

May I eliminate any false gods in my life that I tend to worship. May YOU, Father, be my all in all. 

Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. 

Lord, enable me to be a wonderful, loving father to my children. Make me as merciful, loving, and as full of grace as You are.

Luke 4:4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’ ”
Forgive me, Father, for trying to subsist on bread alone when You have spiritual food You want me to have. 

Ephesians 5:28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 

Lord, always enable me to love my wife as much as or more than myself. Keep me from being selfish and to put her above all else in my life except You. Amen.

Luke 4:1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
Wilderness experienced can occur when we are full of the Spirit and led by the Spirit. 

Ephesians 4:31-32 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. 

Dispose of my bitterness and anger within me, Lord, and enable me to forgive truthfully and whole-heartedly.

Luke 10:40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
How we want Jesus to change everyone else! Instead, I need to be saying, “Lord, change me!”
