Proverbs 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

May I always have a gentle answer.

Luke 18:40-41 Jesus stopped and ordered the man to be brought to him. When he came near, Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord, I want to see,” he replied.

Jesus wants us to verbalize our needs to Him. 

Proverbs 14:8 The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways, but the folly of fools is deception.

Lord, guide me and help me to always give thought to my ways.

Luke 18:39 Those who led the way rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

In spite of obstacles and naysayers I must be relentless in crying out to God. 

Proverbs 13:24 Whoever spares the rod hates their children, but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.

May I always provide wise guidance and discipline to my children.

Proverbs 13:11 Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.

Lord, thank You for allowing me to make an honest living. Please grow my wisdom immensely and make my money grow as I use and invest it according to your Word.

Luke 18:38 He called out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

Lord, that is my prayer as well. Have mercy on me!

Proverbs 12:9 Better to be a nobody and yet have a servant than pretend to be somebody and have no food.

Lord, may I be humble throughout my life.

Proverbs 12:26 The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

Lord, enable me to choose my friends wisely.

Proverbs 12:16 Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult.

Lord, give me patience when others insult me.
