Note that the centurion never directly talks to Jesus, and Jesus never meets the centurion. In fact, Jesus didn’t even have to tell the servant to get better. The centurion’s extreme faith in Jesus apparently made it so words weren’t necessary. May God heal me because of my strong faith.

Somehow there is a Holy Spirit produced love that goes beyond normal affections. May I discover that.

God uses others to teach us how to live for Christ. May I be such a person.
Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and at the end of them he was hungry.
Luke 4:1-2//
Note that the devil did not just tempt Jesus at the end. Instead, Satan tempted Jesus each and every day until His hunger made Him the most vulnerable. We must watch out as Satan doesn’t only come once; he builds up to when we are at our weakest.
