Luke 11:13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
God’s greatest gifts are not material nor temporal; they are spiritual.

1 Samuel 9:7 Saul said to his servant, “If we go, what can we give the man? The food in our sacks is gone. We have no gift to take to the man of God. What do we have?”
When we think we have nothing, God goes ahead of us and prepares the way. Father, may I have strong faith!

Luke 11:12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
Even when God’s answers to our prayers “feel” like He is giving us a scorpion it is not — God is always good.

1 Samuel 8:7 And the Lord told him: “Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king.
Lord, may I never reject You as my king.

Luke 11:11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?”
My problem is that sometimes I ask for a snake and don’t realize it. Help me to pray better, Lord.

Luke 11:9 So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.
God acts in response to our prayers. Teach me to pray, dear Lord!

1 Samuel 7:13 So the Philistines were subdued and they stopped invading Israel’s territory. Throughout Samuel’s lifetime, the hand of the Lord was against the Philistines.
When we obey the Lord, He will keep our enemies at bay if we ask Him. Father, please subdue my enemies, so that I may live and seek Your will. Amen.

1 Samuel 6:19 But God struck down some of the inhabitants of Beth Shemesh, putting seventy of them to death because they looked into the ark of the Lord. The people mourned because of the heavy blow the Lord had dealt them.
When we do not obey God, we will experience heavy mourning.

Luke 11:4 And lead us not into temptation.
Protect me from the world, the flesh, and the devil, O Lord.

1 Samuel 5:2-4 Then they carried the ark into Dagon’s temple and set it beside Dagon. When the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord! They took Dagon and put him back in his place. But the following morning when they rose, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord! His head and hands had been broken off and were lying on the threshold; only his body remained.
There is no God like our God. Even the false idols of men worship Him!
