And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Conversely, a lack of faith must cause God displeasure. If we do not believe in Him and thus, do not seek Him; all that is left is the death caused by sin and the hopeless destruction that awaits.
