Isaiah 11:3 and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears…//

I need to spend more time delighting in the Lord and less time making judgements on others.

Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

If the time was near almost 2,000 years ago, imagine how much closer we are to the end of times at this very moment.

Isaiah 11:2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord.

If I am to be like Jesus, then may this prophecy be a description of what God wants to do in me!

In the very same way, on the strength of their dreams these ungodly people pollute their own bodies, reject authority and heap abuse on celestial beings. But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”

Only the Lord has the right to condemn anyone or anything.

I have much to write to you, but I do not want to use paper and ink. Instead, I hope to visit you and talk with you face to face, so that our joy may be complete.
2 John 1:12//

Sometimes, only being with close friends face to face can enable us to experience the full joy in the relationship.

If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that.
1 John 5:16//

It is important for me to be in intercessory prayer to help my fellow brothers and sisters come back from sin.

This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
1 John 4:2-3//

Lord, help me to recognize and discern what is and what is not from You.

The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.
1 John 2:17//

Anything I to do try to build “my kingdom” is futile and will pass away.

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1:8//

One way that I can discern who is and who is not a believer is by asking them if they believe they are a sinner. Those who claim they are not are lying to themselves and to God.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9//

One of the reasons we are still waiting on the second coming of Jesus is because He wants to give everyone the opportunity to be saved.
