While we see evil flourishing in the world, many will be destroyed in the end for their lack of faith in Jesus and selfish beliefs in themselves and their sin.
If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.

These two verses come just before the s fixture that Satan quotes to tempt Jesus. It is a good reminder that if the Lord says something in scripture, we should not test Him to ensure He will stay true to His word.
It is you alone who are to be feared. Who can stand before you when you are angry?

When countries and the world fall apart, God is the only one to fear.
Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

“Am undevided heart” – David has so much wisdom asking for this. We often have many things competing for our attention: work, finances, family. David knew there was value in focusing on the one true thing: God. Because everything else would be derived from Him and fall into its correct place of prioritization.
Restore us again, God our Savior, and put away your displeasure toward us.

Lord, restore our country from the evil that lies within it.
Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

Going from a land of wicked people to a land with God-fearing people has made me realize how true this verse is. I long to dwell in the presence of my Lord and Savior; where evil ceases to exist.

Regardless of how much power a human has, the time will come when they leave this earth and will be judged by God.
“But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me. So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices.

To heal our country, the first step is to listen and submit to God.
