Daily Devo – Blind Devotion

Revelation 3:19-20 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

When we repent, God is always there waiting for us. Lord, may I accept Your discipline and always turn away from evil and toward You. When I do so, please sustain me so I will never hunger or thirst as we dine together in eternity.

Revelation 2:21-22 I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling. So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways.

The Lord gives us both time and opportunity to repent. If we do not, we risk harm to ourselves and those close to us. Lord, may I always be willing to live in Your ways.

Jude 1:18-19 They said to you, “In the last times there will be scoffers who will follow their own ungodly desires.” These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.
Lord, focus my heart and mind set on You and keep those who divide via ungodly desires far from my family, far from those I love, and far from me.

3 John 1:9-10 I wrote to the church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first, will not welcome us. So when I come, I will call attention to what he is doing, spreading malicious nonsense about us. Not satisfied with that, he even refuses to welcome other believers. He also stops those who want to do so and puts them out of the church.

When we put ourselves first, we separate ourselves from other believers and our selfish desires become a barrier for others to do God’s work.
