Proverbs 7:4-5 Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and to insight, “You are my relative.” They will keep you from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words.

Keeping wisdom close will keep me from being led astray.

Proverbs 6:9-11 How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber,a little folding of the hands to rest— and poverty will come on you like a thiefand scarcity like an armed man.

Lord, enable me to always be a hard worker; working as if all my toil is for You.

Luke 18:13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’

May I be a humble man. 

Proverbs 5:21 For your ways are in full view of the Lord, and he examines all your paths.

Lord, may my ways be Your ways.

Luke 18:14 For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.

Enable me to humble myself, O Lord. 

Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Guarding one’s heart starts with guarding one’s mind. Lord, may I keep pure thoughts that please You.

Proverbs 3:1-2 My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. 

Apparently, there is a direct correlation between keeping God’s commands and a long life.

Luke 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not lose heart. 
We are either praying or losing heart. The antidote to losing heart is prayer. If we don’t pray we will lose heart. If we are losing heart, it is an indicator that we are not praying. 

Proverbs 2:12 Wisdom will save you from the ways of wicked men, from men whose words are perverse, 
Gaining wisdom will provide me with protection.

Luke 17:19 Then Jesus said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
Somehow healing and wholeness is linked to the demonstration of faith. Lord, may I believe You and Your Word so that Your healing power may continue to work in my life.
