“But if I go to the east, he is not there; if I go to the west, I do not find him. When he is at work in the north, I do not see him; when he turns to the south, I catch no glimpse of him. But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
Job 23:8-10//

God is working even when I cannot see Him, and His goal is for me to be purified.

What would we gain by praying to him?’ But their prosperity is not in their own hands, so I stand aloof from the plans of the wicked.

I do not choose to worship God because of what He can give me. Rather, I choose to worship Him because I love Him.

While his friends chastised him for being evil because he lost everything, his wealth (or lack of it) had nothing to do with Job’s righteousness.
