Psalm 138:7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; with your right hand you save me.//
Trouble will always be there…but so is God’s preserving power!
Psalm 138:7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; with your right hand you save me.//
Trouble will always be there…but so is God’s preserving power!
Exodus 17:4
Then Moses cried out to the Lord, “What am I to do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.”//
When dealing with God’s people, leaders can get frustrated because of complaints. Fortunately, the Lord goes before us and takes care of His people and leaders.
Exodus 15:26b
“…for I am the Lord, who heals you.”//
When medical miracles happen or when we are healed from a common sickness, it is the Lord who heals us.
Exodus 14:21
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided,//
We often think that the Lord should work instantly. Note that even when parting the sea, He took “all that night.” May I remember the Lord works in His timing, not mine.
Exodus 13:17
When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.”//
God sometimes takes me on a different path than I would choose because he knows my inner thoughts, as well as what is best for me.
Psalm 135:15, 18 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by human hands. Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.//
We become like what we worship.
Exodus 12:40-41
Now the length of time the Israelite people lived in Egypt was 430 years. At the end of the 430 years, to the very day, all the Lord’s divisions left Egypt.//
The Lord is faithful; even if we don’t see it in our lifetime.
Psalm 135:14 For the Lord will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants.//
The good guys win in the end. Need to keep remembering that.
Exodus 11:9-10
The Lord had said to Moses, “Pharaoh will refuse to listen to you—so that my wonders may be multiplied in Egypt.” Moses and Aaron performed all these wonders before Pharaoh, but the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let the Israelites go out of his country.//
Sometimes the Lord lets people refuse to believe Him, so that a multitude of people will see His wonders.
Exodus 10:7
Pharaoh’s officials said to him, “How long will this man be a snare to us? Let the people go, so that they may worship the Lord their God. Do you not yet realize that Egypt is ruined?”//
The officials refer to “this man.” Clearly, they still do not believe in God or that He has done all these things.
