If God is able to sustain the mighty powers of the universe, is He not capable of sustaining me as well?

I need to remember to honor my wife.

I need to allow the Lord to work in me through other believers when I am proud and arrogant, or just generally being a jerk to others.

Isaiah 40:11 He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.//

The Lord’s care and tenderness is a central image throughout scripture. So difficult to keep it central in our thinking.

Blessed is the one who always trembles before God, but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble.

We need to continually fear the Lord.

Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you yourself will be just like him. Answer a fool according to his folly, or he will be wise in his own eyes.
Proverbs 26:4-5//

Don’t be like a fool in your response to others, but use wisdom to justly correct the foolish.

Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.

Lord, help me to build Your Kingdom and not my own.

A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.
