Luke 24:48 You are witnesses of these things.

May I be a better witness for You, dear Lord. 

John 17:20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,

It is both amazing and humbling that Jesus prays for me.

John 15:25 But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: ‘They hated me without reason.’

There are not reasons for everything. Some will not accept Jesus, and there is no reason for them not to accept Him. Father, may I always remain in You and You in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Luke 24:46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day”

Suffering precedes new life. When I suffer God is preparing to do something new in my life. 

John 16:2-3 They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me.

Even today, Christians are murdered in the names of other gods. Father, protect our brothers and sisters in Christ who are being persecuted.

Luke 24:38 He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds?”

Insightful questions. Lord, help me to trust You more and more. 

John 14:1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.

Father, may I always sense Your presence and do Your will, so that my heart will not be troubled.

John 13:7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”

Lord, give me patience until I reach the time when I understand what You are doing.

Luke 24:36 While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”

The Lord’s presence brings peace. May I recognize that He is with me moment by moment. 

John 12:4-6 But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, “Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.” He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.

May my motives be for God and not for myself.
