Romans 6:14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.

Praise the Lord that I am under grace! Thank You, Father, for rescuing me from the grave!

1 Thessalonians 4:11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you,

May my ambition be to live a quiet life and to mind my own business. 

Romans 5:6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.

God loves us and carries us at just the right time.

1 Thessalonians 4:9 Now about your love for one another we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other.

God, would You personally teach me to love others?!

Romans 4:18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”

Against all hope, Abraham still believed. Father, may I still believe when all hope is lost.

1 Thessalonians 4:7For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.

May I live in holiness before You, dear Lord. 

Romans 2:10 but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.

Father, above all these, please give me peace.

Romans 1:1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God—

Before anything, Paul noted he is a servant of Christ. May that be the first thing I am in my life as well.

Acts 28:24 Some were convinced by what he said, but others would not believe.

Some “will not” believe. May I not be discouraged when some refuse to believe the truth about Jesus our Savior.

1 Thessalonians 4:1…live in order to please God.

May I continually have this perspective.
