Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

I seemingly forget this at times.

“This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”

Matthew18:25//

May I forgive my fellow Christian brothers and sisters completely when they sin.

Psalm 116:17 I will sacrifice a thank offering to you and call on the name of the Lord.//

Gratitude is costly.

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Matthew 17:20//

I used to think that this would happen instantly, but notice Jesus doesn’t say the mountain will move immediately. In fact, He doesn’t specify a timeframe at all. All we know is that nothing is impossible with God and full faith in Him.

Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

Matthew 16:17//

Sometimes, the only way to understand something is to ask the Father to reveal it to me.

18 But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

Matthew 15:18-19//

This is part of why Jesus must live in my heart…to rid it of the evil that resides within me.

Psalm 116:10

I trusted in the Lord when I said, “I am greatly afflicted”//

May this be my response.

Psalm 116:6 The Lord protects the unwary; when I was brought low, he saved me.//

God protects me from that of which I am unaware.

22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful.

Matthew 13:22//

I must be aware that worry can choke out my faith.

30 “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.

Matthew 12:30//

Jesus was clear, firm, and unapologetic about who was on His side and who was not. When challenged about Christ, may I be as bold as Jesus.
