2 Peter 2:1-2 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them—bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth into disrepute. 
Denying the Lord starts in secret. May I never deny Him.

Hebrews 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God! 
When we accept Christ, our conscience should be cleared, so that we can serve God. When I am accused by the evil one, may God remind me that He has set me free!

1 John 3:20 If our hearts condemn us, we know that God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything.
When my heart condemns me this is the hope: God is greater than my heart!

Hebrews 5:7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. 
May I be submissive so that the Lord will hear my prayers.

Hebrews 6:19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,

Without hope, my soul has no anchor. Lord, may I always have hope!

 1 John 3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

Love must be practical. 

Hebrews 2:18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.

May I be like Christ and help those who are being tempted by the same sins that the Lord has saved me from.

1 John 3:17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?

Love for God and others is demonstrated in practical ways. Help me to readily see how I can help others in need, O Lord. 

1 John 3:8 NIVThe reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.

Lord, continue to tear down the tactics of Satan and destroy his workings. 

Titus 3:14 Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order to provide for urgent needs and not live unproductive lives.

Being devoted to what is good must be taught, as well as learned. Apparently, while some do good work; being consistent in doing good works takes discipline and the willingness to listen and learn.
