2 Corinthians 2:7 Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow.//
Part of the reason I should forgive those who have offended me is to keep them from being overtaken by sorrow.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.//
Interesting that Paul notes one of the reasons for suffering is so that we may comfort others. May I remember this when I endure trials.

1 Corinthians 15:9-10 For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.//
“But the grace of God”…thank You, Lord, for Your grace!

1 Corinthians 14:12, 25 So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, try to excel in those that build up the church.//as the secrets of their hearts are laid bare. So they will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, “God is really among you!”//
May I build up those in the church and prophesy about Jesus so that many will come to know Him as their Savior.

1 Corinthians 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. //
May I love others unconditionally.

Psalm 77:19 Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.//
I must trust His leading though I cannot see his footprints. 

1 Corinthians 10:6 Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did.//
May I learn from God’s Word and the mistakes of others, so that I may not make the same mistakes.

1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.//
May my hope be spurred on by gaining the prize, which is Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 7:23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings.//
May I desire to please God, not people.

1 Corinthians 5:2 And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have gone into mourning and have put out of your fellowship the man who has been doing this?//
Some sins require me to cease contact with the brother or sister who is committing them.
