Acts 23:11 The following night the Lord stood near Paul and said, “Take courage! As you have testified about me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome.”

When we lack courage, the Lord stands beside us and encourages us.

Acts 20:20 You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.

Ministry is accomplished privately in homes; not simply public teaching.

1 Thessalonians 2:18 For we wanted to come to you—certainly I, Paul, did, again and again—but Satan blocked our way.

Help me to recognize Satan’s tactics, blockades, and opposition to ministry. 

Acts 19:11-12 God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.

When we obey God, He will use us in extraordinary ways.

Acts 16:7 When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to.

Jesus sometimes provides us direction by not allowing us to go to specific places.

1 Thessalonians 2:4 We are not trying to please people but God…

Help me to live to please You, Lord, and not people. 

1 Thessalonians 1:6 …you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.

In the midst of trials may I welcome Your Word with joy from Your Spirit. 

Acts 14:19-20 Then some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium and won the crowd over. They stoned Paul and dragged him outside the city, thinking he was dead. But after the disciples had gathered around him, he got up and went back into the city. The next day he and Barnabas left for Derbe.

Our faith and resilience for the Lord becomes unstoppable when God is for us and other believers surround us.

Acts 11:17 So if God gave them the same gift he gave us who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I to think that I could stand in God’s way?”

The Lord offers forgiveness and salvation to all who accept Christ as their Savior. Who am I to think that I could stand in the way of God forgiving even the worst of sinners? After all, He has forgiven me of my sins.

1 Thessalonians 1:3 We remember before our God and Father …your labor prompted by love…

May my ministry and obedience be motivated by love for God and love for others.
