Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

God restores those who are leaders. Amen.

Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

The Gospel summed up in one verse.

Isaiah 1:19 If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land.//

Willingness precedes obedience. Lord, grant me the “want to.”

This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:3-4//

God wants all people to be saved, but not all will be.

holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith. Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.
1 Timothy 1:19-20//

Sometimes we must let people go so that can learn what life is like without God and hopefully come back to the faith.

And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
2 Thessalonians 3:2-3//

Note that the lack of faith is what makes people evil and wicked. It is interestinf that Paul specifically uses these as adjectjves for “people.” There trily are “wicked and evil people” in the world. The opposite is also true as the Lord is “faithful” and therefore, good. Lord, protect me from evil and thank You for being faithful to me!!!

For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.
2 Thessalonians 2:7//

Evil is already at work and has been for millenia. We must know the truth and be on guard!

May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:23//

Lord, make and keep me blameless! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
