Isaiah 6:6-7 Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”//

I not only need forgiveness from His Altar, I also need my guilt dealt with.

For we also have had the good news proclaimed to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because they did not share the faith of those who obeyed.
Hebrews 4:2//

The same is true today. Christianity is of no value to some because they do not believe. Lord, help me to reach the lost who will believe in You.

Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest.
Hebrews 3:1//

You have heard to fix your eyes on Jesus. Following Him requires more than this action, it requires us to fix our “thoughts” on Him, so that our actions may follow our thoughts.

“Yet at present we do not see everything”… there are some things I will not know or see until we reach eternity with our God.

Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled. In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.

Lord, help me to be this example to young men.
