In fact, when we were with you, we kept telling you that we would be persecuted. And it turned out that way, as you well know.
1 Thessalonians 3:4//

This statement is sandwiched between two passages that include “when I [we] could stand it no longer.” There are times in our lives when we will be pushed to our limit; thus, fully dependent on God, and pushed to action.

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
Colossians 1:9-12//

Lord, this is my prayer for all of my friends and family. Continue to work in all of our lives; especially during this difficult time.

Philippians 2:9-11//

With each passing day, the time draws nearer when everyone will confess Jesus Christ is the one and only true Messiah.

Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel. As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ.
Philippians 1:12-13//

There will be things in my life that I do not want or like, but they will serve to advance the gospel.
