Hebrews 3:12 See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 
Lord, give me a righteous, faithful heart. May I never turn from Your ways!

Hebrews 2:18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. 
When temptation brought suffering, Jesus relied solely on God and His word. May I be able to do the same by relying on Jesus when I am suffering as well as tempted.

Luke 7:47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”
Great forgiveness should produce great love/worship.  

Hebrews 1:9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.” 

If we obey and please the Lord, He will grant us His favor, and we will find joy.

Luke 7:30 But the Pharisees and the experts in the law rejected God’s purpose for themselves…

Apparently Bible knowledge doesn’t necessarily mean we will submit to God’s plan for our lives. May I be sure surrendered to His will. 

Philemon 1:7 Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people. 

Thank you, Lord, for people in my life who give me great joy and refresh me.

Luke 7:29 All the people, even the tax collectors, when they heard Jesus’ words, acknowledged that God’s way was right. 

God’s Word will convince us of God’s way. 

Titus 3:9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. 

I must know what debates to “let go”. . . for the ultimate battle between good and evil has already been won by our God.

Luke 7:28 “I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”

Jesus evaluation of greatness differs so much from ours. Doubters and flawed people seem to have great value on the Lord’s eyes.
