Daily Devo – Blind Devotion

1 Samuel 17:28 When Eliab, David’s oldest brother, heard him speaking with the men, he burned with anger at him and asked, “Why have you come down here? And with whom did you leave those few sheep in the wilderness? I know how conceited you are and how wicked your heart is; you came down only to watch the battle.”
When I do what the Lord asks of me, there will be people who do not understand. Lord, enable me to do Your will in the face of adversity against giants I don’t know, as well as giants I do know.

Luke 12:11-12 NIV[11] “When you are brought before synagogues, rulers and authorities, do not worry about how you will defend yourselves or what you will say, [12] for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”
God’a Spirit will provide me with what I need for every occasion.

Daily Devo – Blind Devotion

1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
May I learn to see people how the Lord sees them. Father, enable me to look past the outward appearance and instead, look at the heart.

1 Samuel 15:35 Until the day Samuel died, he did not go to see Saul again, though Samuel mourned for him. And the Lord regretted that he had made Saul king over Israel.
Lord, keep me from making mistakes that divide my relationships with others. May I always obey You, so that You may never regret what You have done for me.

Daily Devo – Blind Devotion

1 Samuel 14:36 Saul said, “Let us go down and pursue the Philistines by night and plunder them till dawn, and let us not leave one of them alive.” “Do whatever seems best to you,” they replied. But the priest said, “Let us inquire of God here.”
I need to remember to inquire what God wants me to do and not rely on what others want me to do.
