I should take a lesson from David. He was very clearly familiar with a threat worse than Seattle.

Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Notice the pronoun “your.” It is never God’s ways that lead to destruction. It is when we decide to take our own path that we will fail.
