A constant trust in the Lord will keep us from “being shaken” – a consistent theme in the early chapter of Psalm. My ability to keep faith in the Lord will directly affect how I react to the world.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.

Creation proclaims that there is a God. Sensing it in any way, whether through sight, smell, touch, sound, or taste; no one has an excuse to not deny God’s existence.

The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God my Savior!

We praise You, Lord!

By your hand save me from such people, Lord, from those of this world whose reward is in this life. May what you have stored up for the wicked fill their bellies; may their children gorge themselves on it, and may there be leftovers for their little ones.

It can be easy to get beyond fed up with wicked people. But, I still need to show love.

I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

We must not be dissuaded from doing the Lord’s work, even when it is difficult.

whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others;

Lord, help me to not slur or slander others, especially in the midst of an election,

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.

Lack of faith in God is foolishness that results in corrupt character.

But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me.

Lord, I praise You! Thank You for being faithful even when my trust fails.

You, Lord, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked, who freely strut about when what is vile is honored by the human race.

Being in a world full of evil where the population supports sinful ways is not a new concept.
