Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.//

Apparently other things can rule my heart. Teach me, Lord, how to “let” Your peace rule.

Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?”

Is our ministry so obedient to God that it is known among the demons? May the Lord rebuke the evil one and his fallen angels, and may the Word of God prevail!

One night the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent.

Sometimes, we need to be reminded by God that we are doing the right thing.

For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”

Judgment Day is coming. Be ready. . .accept Christ as your Savior before the door closes forever!

When her owners realized that their hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace to face the authorities.
Acts 16:19//

When greed overcomes us, people will do anything for money; including keeping someone bound to a demon.

Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.//

My identity in Christ is what enables me to display the virtues God desires.

Colossians 3:1
Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.//

Lord, help me to “set my heart on things above” rather on worldly stuff.

He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed
Acts 14:9//

Our faith in God can be seen by others without our words.

Colossians 2:18
[there are some] who delight in false humility …and the they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind.//

May I not fall prey to false humility and an unspiritual mind.

In the midst of discouragement about human minutia, I praise the Lord for saving me from my sins! Thank You, Jesus!!!
