I don’t think it is mere coincidence that we are told to start children in the way they should go and then immediately told to avoid debt. This is clearly an important lesson for us to teach our children, and we must also be an example to them regarding how to stay out of debt.

I think this can apply to either sex in a marriage. Lord, may I not be a quarrelsome spouse. And, when I disciple unmarried men, may I guide them toward a spouse that is strong in her Godly character; not simply pleasant in her beauty.
