Isaiah 29:13 The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.”//

Deliver me from such a heart attitude, Lord!

With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished. ” When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them.
Genesis 19:15-16//

Apparently, the Lord can be gracious enough to lead us to safety even when we hesitate.

Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year, and Sarah will have a son.”
Genesis 18:14//

The obvious answer is “no,” but I sometimes think the answer is “yes” when I do not see any changes in my circumstances. I need to remember that anything is possible with God.

But my covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you by this time next year.”
Genesis 17:21//

God knows the distant future, as well as what is coming in the next year for me; even things I think are impossible.

Now Sarai, Abram’s wife, had borne him no children. But she had an Egyptian slave named Hagar; so she said to Abram, “The Lord has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my slave; perhaps I can build a family through her.” Abram agreed to what Sarai said.
Genesis 16:1-2//

When things do not happen in our timing, our tendency is to blame God and take matters into our own hands.

But Abram said to the king of Sodom, “With raised hand I have sworn an oath to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,
Genesis 14:22//

Lord, grant me the strength, wisdom, and courage to keep my promises to You.

The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
Genesis 12:1//

The Lord may call us from our home and everything we know into an unknown land and location to do His will and reach people for Him.

Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there. Terah lived 205 years, and he died in Harran.
Genesis 11:31-32//

Life doesn’t always go according to our plans.

And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
Genesis 9:12-13//

The rainbow should be a reminder to us that God is trustworthy all of His days.

Isaiah 26:12 Lord, you establish peace for us; all that we have accomplished you have done for us.//

Any ministry or good works I have done has been the Lord working through me. Great reminder.
