2 Timothy 3:2-5 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.//
Lord, help me to keep my boundaries, so that I may not be influenced by evil people.

Galatians 6:4Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else.//
Deliver us all from the comparison plague!

2 Timothy 2:3 Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus.//
Following Jesus does not make life free of suffering.

2 Timothy 1:7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.//
May I use these gifts to spread the Gospel!

Galatians 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.//
The law of love requires that I help carry other people’s burdens. 

1 Timothy 6:3-5 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, they are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.//
This is how I can discern those who are not following God. Lord, grant me great wisdom and discernment.

Galatians 6:1 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.//
Restoration demands a gentle approach. The temptation will be to be harsh. Teach us, Lord. 

1 Timothy 4:16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.//
Lord, give me wisdom and perseverance.

1 Timothy 3:1 Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task.//
Noble tasks require noble behavior. Purify me and keep me pure, Father!

Galatians 5:26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.//
Pride leads to provoking others. Deliver me, Lord.
