Psalm 77:19 Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.//
I must trust His leading though I cannot see his footprints.

1 Corinthians 10:6 Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did.//
May I learn from God’s Word and the mistakes of others, so that I may not make the same mistakes.

1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.//
May my hope be spurred on by gaining the prize, which is Christ Jesus.

1 Corinthians 7:23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings.//
May I desire to please God, not people.

1 Corinthians 5:2 And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have gone into mourning and have put out of your fellowship the man who has been doing this?//
Some sins require me to cease contact with the brother or sister who is committing them.

1 Corinthians 3:6-7 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. //
May I plant and water many seeds. I am nothing, Lord, but I ask that You make them grow!

1 Corinthians 1:10 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.//
Lord, help me to be a unifier and not a divider.

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.//
Without trust in God, there is no peace and joy. And without peace and joy, there is no hope. Lord, grant all of these to me by giving me unwavering faith in You.

Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.//
Notice the verb “renewing”. It is present tense. To not conform to this world, our minds must undergo a continual “renewing” process. It is not a process that will reach its conclusion until we reach eternity.

Romans 6:12-14 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace. //
When we are under grace, it is our decision if we let sin take over our lives or if we choose to let God reign in our lives.
